De doelstelling van The World Congress on Specialized Translation is een discussieforum te zijn waar het huidig internationaal beleid dat vertaalwerk dient te vergemakkelijken kan besproken worden.
Naast de plenaire zittingen, zullen de specifieke workshops rond verwante thema's plaatsvinden en een technologische showcase zal de laatste nieuwe vertaalhulpmiddelen voorstellen.
