First Call for Papers

ALCS organises a conference every two years. The conference is open to people from all corners of the globe engaged in Low Countries Studies and provides an opportunity to demonstrate and discuss current research. It is also a platform for exchange between scholars from the English-language region of Europe and those from the Low Countries and elsewhere in the world. The Association's general meeting is also held at the conference.

The sixth biennial ALCS conference will be held at University College London from lunchtime on Thursday, 5 January 2006 until lunchtime on Saturday, 7 January 2006.

Papers are invited on any aspect of Low Countries Studies: the culture, history, history of art, language, literature, politics and society of Flanders and the Netherlands. Papers will be of 30 minutes' duration with 10 minutes for questions and discussion.
