De School for Information and Knowledge Systems (SIKS) organiseert twee basiscursussen "Learning and Reasoning" en "Information Retrieval". Beide cursussen worden gegeven in het Engels. Ze zijn primair bedoeld voor SIKS-promovendi, maar andere deelnemers zijn ook welkom. Verantwoordelijk voor de cursus Information Retrieval is Prof.dr. ir. Th. P. van der Weide (Radboud Universiteit Nijmegen).
